This 2-day safari is designed for travelers who want to experience Tanzania’s wildlife in both daylight and under the stars. On Day 1, you’ll explore Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobab trees, vast elephant herds, and diverse birdlife along the Tarangire River. After a full day of game drives, you’ll enjoy a rare night game drive, offering the chance to spot nocturnal animals such as bush babies, genets, hyenas, and possibly leopards on the hunt. On Day 2, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” where the Big Five roam freely in one of Africa’s most unique ecosystems. After your crater adventure, you’ll return to Arusha, completing a short but unforgettable safari that blends daytime thrills with nighttime wonders.
Depart Arusha in the morning by 4WD Land Cruiser and drive to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers a classic safari experience with diverse wildlife including lions, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and over 500 bird species. The Tarangire River acts as a lifeline, drawing animals’ year-round, especially during the dry season when wildlife congregates in large numbers.
Enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive, pausing for a picnic lunch in the park. In the late afternoon, transfer to your camp for relaxation and dinner. Afterward, embark on a night game drive, a rare opportunity to witness the park’s nocturnal wildlife. Spot predators on the move, listen to the sounds of the bush at night, and experience the thrill of the Serengeti under the stars. Return to camp for overnight stay.
