Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, a landscape dotted with towering baobabs and home to vast herds of elephants. Depending on your preference, you may start with a guided walking safari to experience the bush up close, or head straight into a game drive to spot giraffes, zebras, and predators.

After a picnic lunch in the park, continue exploring before transferring to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Highlands to Serengeti National Park (North)

After breakfast, journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and into the Serengeti National Park, traveling northward with game drives along the way. By afternoon, you’ll reach the Northern Serengeti, the prime location for witnessing the Great Migration. Spend the rest of the day on a game drive near the Mara River, where wildebeest and zebras gather in anticipation of crossing. Dinner and overnight stay at your northern camp.

Day 3: Full Day in North Serengeti

For an unforgettable start, you may choose an optional hot air balloon safari at dawn, floating silently above the Serengeti before enjoying a champagne breakfast upon landing. Spend the rest of the day on game drives, following the migration herds and predators that shadow them.

Pause for a picnic lunch in the bush, then continue exploring until sunset. Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay under the star-filled sky.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti

Wildebeest and zebras may still be gathering along the banks, while predators linger nearby. Around midday, pause for a picnic lunch in the bush, enjoying the vast savannah atmosphere. In the afternoon, begin your transfer southward, traveling through the Serengeti with a game drive to the Central Serengeti. This region is renowned for its predator activity, with lions resting under acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the plains, and leopards draped across rocky kopjes. As the sun sets, arrive at your Central Serengeti camp, where dinner and overnight stay await under a star-filled sky.

Day 5: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Back to Arusha

Depart the Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Descend into the caldera for a game drive, where elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, and the rare black rhino roam freely. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, ascend the crater walls and continue your journey back to Arusha, where your safari concludes.
