On Day 1, you’ll explore Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobab trees, vast elephant herds, and diverse birdlife along the Tarangire River. On Day 2, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” where the Big Five roam freely in one of Africa’s most unique ecosystems. After your crater adventure, you’ll return to Arusha, completing a short but unforgettable safari that blends efficiency with maximum impact.
Depart Arusha in the morning by 4WD Land Cruiser and drive to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers a classic safari experience with diverse wildlife including lions, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and over 500 bird species. The Tarangire River acts as a lifeline, drawing animals’ year-round, especially during the dry season when wildlife congregates in large numbers. Enjoy a full day of game drives, pausing for a picnic lunch in the park. In the late afternoon, continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight in the nearby town of Karatu.
