Small First Aid Kit For Mountaineers

What We Always Take With Us In Terms Of Non-Prescription Medications:

  • Berberil Eye Drops
  • Immodium Acute (Can Be Taken In An Emergency For Diarrhea. However, It Is Always Better To Wait Until The Diarrhea Goes Away On Its Own And Ensure Adequate Fluid Intake Until Then).
  • WHO Powder (Glucose/Electrolyte Mixture) – E.G. Oralpädon
  • Paracetamol/ Ibuprofen (Aspirin Should Not Be Taken On The Mountain).
  • Compeed Blister Plasters
  • Nasal Drops/Spray
  • Octenisept Or Betaisadona For Wound Disinfection
  • Pavement
  • Small First Aid Kit
  • Fenistil Gel For Itchy Insect Bites Or Minor Burns/Sunburn
  • Voltaren Ointment
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Rescue Blanket

Of Course, The Mountain Guide Also Has A Small First Aid Kit With Him On The Mountain… But It Is Nevertheless A Good Idea For At Least One Person In The Group To Bring Their Own Kit.
